Contact lenses

I've decided to do this post because I think that it is very important how you handle contact lenses. I know that the people who have been wearing contacts for years probably know this stuff and it might be really obvious to some of you, however I'd like to do it for the ones that have just started using contact lenses and therefore are inexperienced in handling them.

So the first thing is to make sure you're putting them in and taking them out properly, however you don't have to learn on your own the optician will show you how to put them in and how to take them out.

The next thing is always, always, always wash your hands before and after putting them on and taking them off. This is so important, because obviously we are touching things that have bacteria on them all day and if you then touch you eyes without having washed your hands it is likely that you will give yourself an infection.
If you are out somewhere where you aren't able to wash your hands, then it is a good idea that you keep a disinfectant hand gel in your bag so at least that will prevent some of the bacteria fro being transferred from your hand to your eyes.

Another thing that you should remember to put in your bag is your contact lense case with preferably some solution in it, you glasses case with your glasses in them. This is a handy thing to do because say your lenses are irritating your eyes or even if your out with friends and decide to stay the night at theirs then at least you can take them out, clean them and you also have the glasses so you're not going around not being able to see properly.

A good thing to do is give yourself one day a week where you don't wear them. This will give your eyes a whole days rest. I usually do this on a Sunday, but it is up to you which day you choose.

One last tip I'd like to give those who might be thinking of starting to wear contacts is that I think the best lenses to get are monthly ones. It cost me less to get those than the daily ones, and also with the monthly ones you can take them out and put them in whenever you want.
For example sometimes if I've been wearing them all day, but I know I'm going out in the evening I can take them out rest my eyes for a bit, give them a bit of a clean and them put them in again when I'm about to go out.

J'adore Dior

Today's post, as you can probably tell by the title is going to be about J'adore by Dior perfume.

So I've been wanting this perfume ever since I smelt it years and years ago, however I never bought it because it is so expensive.
You're all probably asking "why then have you now purchased it?" Well the answer is that when I was waiting to board the plane at Malpensa a few weeks ago, I had a look around the perfumes at duty free. I was set on buying one, so I sniffed and sprayed loads of perfumes and was undecided on which one to get. Eventually I gave in and bought the Eau de toilette 75ml bottle. It was very expensive at €69.90 but it was a kind of treat and seeing  as it was my money that I was spending I thought why not.
I find that all of the packaging is so elegant even the box that the perfume comes in. The actual bottle is so feminine and lovely. My favourite part of the bottle is the lid. I love the gold with the glass bit at the top so you can see J'adore written inside it

I am very happy that I got it, I just absolutely love it. The smell is sooo lovely. It has a sweet scent but not that sickly one that gives you a headache. Definitely a summer perfume, but I think I will be using it all year round.

Tell me do you have this perfume? What do you think of it?

Tips and Tricks for Nice, Healthy Nails

I am certainly no nail expert, however here are some tips and tricks that I do and have learnt to get nice, healthy nails.

So if like me you love painted nails then make sure you put a base coat on before putting the colour. This applies especially to cheapy nail varnish.
I learnt this the hard way and unfortunately am still paying for my mistake.

Give your nails a break every so often from nail varnish. This is because changing the varnish every day or few days means that you need to keep on using nail varnish remover which causes the nails to become dehydrated.
To help this you can moisturize your nails either with any kind of body or hand lotion or you can buy cuticle cream.

Keep a nail file in your bag at all times. Then if a nail chips you can fix it there and then and it won't catch on things or distract you from what you are doing.

Eating healthily is a good way to maintain healthy nails. So having a variety of things in your diet will help with that.

The last tip is one that my nan gave me, and it is to eat jelly. Jelly obviously contains gelatin which has protein in it and this helps strengthen your nails. So if you eat a cubeof gelatin or some jelly everyday you're sure to be left with strong and nice looking nail

Top Tips on Tuesdays: Preparing and Organising

I always think about, prepare, and organise before actually doing the thing that I need to do. Whether it is just  day to day things or a big thing like moving.

The 1st thing I do to prepare is I think of all the different things I need or need to do and I then write a list and usually while I am writing other things come into my head.

The way I organise a list for a big thing like moving is I split it into categories. This is how I managed to remember everything for my big move to England.
So the categories that I split it into were Clothes, Shoes, Hair stuff, Make-up, Bags, Body and Face stuff, Jewellery, Perfumes, Eye stuff.
This helps you make sure that you put everything into your suitcases and don't forget anything.

For simpler lists like day to day things I order it so that the 1st thing on the list is the 1st thing that I am going to do that day and so on. An example of this is Get up, Shower, Get ready, Eat etc. This gives organisation to your day.

Ever since I can remember I've been making lists and it has helped me a lot, always making me remember the important things I need to do. By the end of the day 9 times out of 10 I will have done everything that has needed to be done.

Making lists has been a major help over the past few years. Seeing as I haven't had or got a Job, making lists are a great way to be able to do every day , even if it's just something small.

Another reason I make lists is because once you have done that specific thing you can cross it off and it makes you feel good because you have achieved that thing.

How do you guys organise and prepare things? Write me a comment.

Bargain Finds

So I know I haven't done a blog post in such a long time, and I am really really sorry about that. I've just been trying to sort out my stuff and the room, if you want to keep up with how my move is going check my other blog out.

Today I'm going to blog about my bargain finds. Some of them I got in the sale and some not.
I bought most of these things when I was still in Italy so the prices will be in Euros, however a few of them will be in pounds.

After this really long winded intro here are the things I got.

These 5 candles were €1 each.
They all smell gorgeous and even though they were cheap they are great quality.

This bag from Carpisa was already in the sale for €18.13 so I was going to buy it anyway, then when I went to pay and the girl said it was €12.95. I was ecstatic. I love this bag, the print is so pretty and it's quite sturdy because on the bottom and the seams of the bag is quite a sturdy material.

This is another bag from Carpisa, I kind of went crazy for the bags in that shop recently. I had to stop myself from buying a 3rd one.
Anyways, I don't know how much it originally cost, but it was down to €20, which I thought was a great price.
I love this bag because you can use it during the day or night time and it is also a professional looking bag and that's the reason I bought it, so I can use it for interviews etc.
Another great thing about this bag s that it is quite big so it holds quite a lot of things.

This knit jumper is one of my fave bargain finds, apart from fitting me really well and the lovely colour, the price was absolutely fantastic. The original price was €39.99 which I think is too expensive and I'd never have bought it if it hadn't gone down in price. So the sale price was wait for it........€15!!! I know it was more than half price.
I liked the style of this jumper so much that I went back the next day and got another one in a mint green colour.

So I've already talked about this product in my products I've used up post.
I've been loving this for quite a few months now and one of the reasons is because it is so cheap. It costs €1.75 and the shampoo works really well.

his
This essence eyebrow pencil is great. It works well on my eyebrows, it has a little brush on the lid so if you're out and about and you need to fix the brows you can just use this one.
The original price for this is €1.99 which is so good.

This next product is also part of the essence range.
It is their concealer and like the eyebrow pencil I love it for how it works and also the price.
It costs €2.99.

The next thing are these tweezers that I bought the other day. I bought them thinking that they wouldn't be that great seeing as they were round £1, but when I used them I was really quite impressed with them

I also got this foundation the other day, I haven't tried it yet, but I thought it was a good price at £5.99.

This was my 2nd fave bargain buy. I got this in H&M around sale time in Italy. I was just rummaging through the racks looking  not really looking for anything and I found this. I tried it on and liked it straight away. I knew I'd get a lot of wear out of this so decided to buy it.
The original price was €29.99 which again I wouldn't have purchased if it hadn't been in the sale. I got it for €10. \I was really happy that once again it was more than half price.

My second to last bargain finds I got a couple of days ago and they are the Neutrogena Visibly Clear blackhead eliminating daily scrub and the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 face wash and mask.
I popped into boots to just buy the wash, however when I was looking at the shelf they had a 2 for £5 offer on. I was well chuffed considering that just one of them normally costs £4 something.

The last bargain find I'm going to write about is this Microsoft office Home and Student product key, and although it was still expensive I still think it was a bargain.
When I picked it off the shelf the price that it had on it was €94  but I needed it and I also had the money so I went to pay. Then the weirdest thing happened the cashier told me that it was €49. I was stunned, and to this day I still don't understand why that happened, but it made me happy.

There are my bargain finds. Have any of you got any products that you've found at good prices. If yes write me a comment, I'd love to hear and read your bargain finds.
